Very Rev. William Forrey
Fr. Forrey was appointed pastor of Holy Infant Church on June 18, 2018. He was also appointed Secretary of Clergy and Religious for the Diocese of Harrisburg.
The Reverend William C. Forrey was pastor of Saint Patrick Church, from 2006 to 2018. Previously, he served as the Secretary for Catholic Life and Evangelization for the diocese. Prior to June 17, 1998, he served as the full-time campus minister at Millersville University and Franklin & Marshall College. His first assignment was parochial vicar at Corpus Christi Church, Chambersburg where he served for three years, subsequently; he served at Saint Patrick Church, Carlisle and as a part-time campus minister at Dickinson College.
The Secretariat for Catholic Life and Evangelization contains the following departments: Family Ministries, Lay Ministry Development, Youth and Young Adult Ministry, Respect Life and the Office of Worship. Additional Ministries located in the Secretariat include: Black Catholic Ministry, Hispanic Ministry, Vietnamese Ministry, Campus Ministry, Health Care Ministry, Prison Ministry and lay organizations.
Father Forrey was born and raised in Camp Hill where his parents still reside. He is a graduate of Camp Hill High School, Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia and Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, Philadelphia. Prior to entering the seminary, he served as a lobbyist for the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry. He was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Nicholas C. Dattilo on May 26, 1990 at Saint Patrick Cathedral.
